The Winter issue of the AAUW NC newsletter, the Tar Heel News, has gone to press. This is a limited edition that will be mailed to branch and state leaders, but all are welcome to the electronic copy.
This issue has important information on the 2008 convention, notes on national priorities and how the states/branches can help further those goals, and more.

Eleanora E. Tate, the author of Celeste’s Harlem Renaissance, received the AAUW Juvenile Literature Award at a the meeting of the NC Literary and Historical Society in Asheville on Saturday, Nov. 10.
