The members and branches of AAUW of North Carolina are generous in their support of the philanthropic programs of AAUW.
In calendar year 201r we contributed $24,414 to AAUW, $27/member. The state donations by area were:
- $7,047 to the Educational Opportunities Fund for fellowships and grants
- Of that, $6,581 was directed to the Ann Chipley American Fellowship endowment
- $6,509 in unrestricted gifts to support national programs
- $2,434 to the Legal Advocacy Fund for legal case support, travel grants, and campus outreach programs
- $4,167 to the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund to support AAUW’s gender equity research
- $825 to the Leadership Fund, supporting the Campus Action Projects, ElectHer
- $1,877 to the support scholarships and other efforts of the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL)
- $811 to the Public Policy fund supporting government relations, civic engagement, and field organizing
- $50 to TechTrek
