The kick-off for The Science House Girls Collaborative is scheduled for September 18 in Raleigh. Agenda follows.
AAUW is working with the National Science Foundation to open more opportunities for girls in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The goal of the National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) is to facilitate collaboration among projects so that they can share resources, work together, and learn from one another. A big part of the National Girls Collaborative Project is the creation of a Program Directory of these girl-serving projects. Read more about AAUW’s involvement in this project at http://www.aauw.org/education/ngcp/index.cfm The project is being administered for NC, SC, and WV by The Science House on the campus of NC State in Raleigh and this kick-off is designed to explain the project, demonstrate how it works, and encourage community leaders and girl-serving organizations to apply for mini-grants.
Because of space limitations, an online registration form is posted on The Science House’s website (http://www.science-house.org/ngcp). Registration is limited to 125 participants.

Brevard and Tryon Area Branches may want to be involved with the Rosman event.
