Many of you remember the Women’s Agenda Assembly that AAUW NC hosted at the Fall 2006 meeting in Statesville.

The Women’s Agenda Assemblies are a project of NC Women United. NCWU member organizations prepare position papers which are published as the “Draft Agenda.” Women around the state meet in small groups to share their stories related to these issues, and determine how this specific local group views the priorities of the many issues facing the next session of the legislature. These local statements and information from NCWU members drives the creation of the North Carolina Women’s Agenda which is presented to the legislature at Women’s Advocacy Day. NCWU also prepares report cards on the issues in the Agenda.
