AAUW of North Carolina is thrilled to partner with the Shared Radiance Performing Arts Company to present Sisters of Mine; Hear the Voices, a new production commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. As you watch the actors and listen to original music, you will travel back in time to the 1920s and before, when women struggled for the right to vote.

Last month, AAUW NC collaborated with a coalition of organizations working to advance the rights of all women to present a virtual event, When Women Gather: Uniting for Positive Change. AAUW NC’s Evening at the Theater is another way for us to visualize the past, consider the present, and plan for the future.
AAUW NC commissioned the writing and production of the play. Even though the performance was originally scheduled for our Annual Conference in March, we are delighted to present it now for AAUW members, coalition partners, and their networks, friends, and families. We hope you will invite them to join us via Zoom.
